Canons Park (nothing to do with cannons, its more to do with Canons or Monks who belonged to the St. Augustine Priory of St. Bartholomew in London who owned the Stanmore Manor before the reformation) is a lovely open space.
Not too big, but wide open spaces

One can actually do the entire park in about 20 minutes on a bike..nice place..
